Boot Animations

If you do not like the Xoom's default Boot Animations you can easily change them. But first you will need:

An understanding of how to copy files and change permissions (I recommend Explorer it makes you life easy but any “file manager” app like this will do. If you are "hard core" you can use the terminal)
If you want to copy the boot animations to /system/Media you will need root. However, you can copy them to /data/local without root

Just simply download the new animation. The file MUST be (re)named bootanimation.zip
If you are doing this as root move the file /system/media/bootanimation.zip (you may want to back up the original)
Copy the file to /system/media (as root) or to /data/local (if you are not root)
Make sure the permissions are rw-r--r--

Note: In the terminal example commands would be :
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
chmod 644 /data/local/bootanimation.zip
